Western Visayas Gets Project to Boost Migration's Contribution to Inclusive Growth and Disaster Risk Reduction
Iloilo City, Philippines, 26 September –
The Embassy of Switzerland, representing the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and United Nations Development Programme signed an agreement with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) and Regional Development Council (RDC) VI for a migration and development initiative in Western Visayas.
Young Filipinos who are based overseas may now virtually take part in youth engagements in the Philippines through the BaLinkBayan Project of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas. The BaLinkBayan is the overseas Filipinos’ one-stop online portal for diaspora engagement. (www.balinkbayan.gov.ph)

28 August 2014 – The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Community-based Education with six Sabah-based alternative learning centers (ALCs) last August 26.
