The Quezon City Regional Trial Court rendered its judgement against Annaliza Datiles Carpacio for violating the Republic Act 9208 or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003. She was convicted for recruiting and deceiving her victims by promising them work as waitresses but ended as sex workers in another country.
Iloilo City, Philippines – The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) in partnership with the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) – Region VI successfully launched the Capacity Building on the Development and Use of Localized BaLinkBayan Portal on November 25-26, 2015 at Amigo Terrace Hotel, Iloilo City.
On November 9 to 10, 2015, 23 select delegates from Region I representing LGUs; regional offices of national government agencies; migrant associations and families; civil society and faith based groups gathered for a two-day Knowledge Exchange in the CALABARZON Region together with representatives from Region VI.
